Angola class is now on Friday

Angoleiros, starting in June (this week), we’ve moved our Angola training to Friday 9pm-10.30pm to accommodate some of our students who couldn’t make it previously. Newbies and angoleiros from out of town are more than welcome to drop in for a class (Just show up in your yellow t-shirt and black track bottoms/training pants). See ya on yer heads on Friday!

We’re taking our usual break for Christmas and New Year. Our last class for the year is on Thursday 23 Dec 2010 (it’s Angola class, by the way) and we would like to wish everyone at Bantus and their families PEACE LOVE & JOY for the Christmas season and see you back in class in the new year on Mon 3 Jan 2011.

We’re moving to a new location

Do take note that Thursday 27 May 2010 will be our last class at the YMCA. We’ll be moving to a new location @ 149C Selegie Road (after Wilkie Edge and just before Hotel 81 - see pix below).

The adult classes will begin on Monday 31 May 2010 at our new location with a slight change in schedule:

Mon 8.30pm - 10pm (Open class)
Wed 8.30pm - 10pm (Beginners)
Thu 9pm - 10.30pm (Open class)

Angola class will be rescheduled to a new timeslot (do check in again for an update here)

Nearest MRT stations: Dhoby Ghaut (if you’re planning to walk down Selegie Road from PoMo end, walk past Wilkie Edge till you come to a saree shop) or Little India (if you’re walking up the other end, look for Hotel 81 and keep walking till you come to a saree shop). Next to the saree shop called Stylemart, there’s a staircase. Go up to the top floor (happy quad training!)
There’s a bus stop in front of Hotel 81 (which is the blue building after ours). Free parking along Mount Sophia and all around the vicinity (there’s a public carpark around the the corner at MacKenzie Road).

Fee Restructuring

Please note that with effect from 1st March 09, our fees (unlimited) for our adult classes will be as follows:

$150 for adults

$120 for students/NSF

Please note that fees need to be paid on the day of your 1st class (before class begins). Otherwise you will not be allowed to train (no exceptions). As a rule of courtesy to the person who is collecting the fees, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your class to settle your fees.

The training fees are only valid for that calendar month (i.e till the end of that month whether you show up for all your classes or not during the entire month that you’ve paid for)

Please note: Any class cancellation/postponement due to exceptional circumstances will be exercised at the discretion of the school.

Class change

Class on Monday 28 July 2008 is cancelled. Instead we will have class on Wed 30 July 2008 at the same time 8.30pm to 10pm at Studio B (basement).

Class on Labour Day

The majority has voted to keep the class going next Thursday 1st May as most of us aren’t working that day.

21st March 2008 is Good Friday so we are closed. Happy Easter to all the Christians and Catholics in Bantus!

New Location for Tuesday Classes

Starting 26th February 2008, our Tuesday classes will be held at Danz People studio @ 05-03/06 Cuppage Plaza which is the building after Centrepoint (behind OG). Please note the change of time: 8.30pm to 10pm. This should give everyone plenty of time to get to class on time. Nearest MRT: Somerset. Bus stops: Orchard Emerald & Meridien.

February update
