It’s that time of the year again for Bantus Singapore, KL and Perth!
Following Bantus Japan’s (see http://jp.bantus.org) very first Batizado (our congrats to Caçapa and team!) in a park, Perth will be blazing Down Under with their very own 1st Capoeira World Meet in Western Australia in conjunction with their 10th Batizado and Capoeira Festival. Bantus Singapore will be celebrating with Bantus Perth as a bunch of us will be flying over. We’ll let you guess how long we can ginga in nippy spring weather. Naturally, we are most excited since it’s the first time we are travelling overseas together (not counting Claudinho’s seafood birthday treat in Batam from some of us) as a school - er, more like a family, if truth be told, to be with our extended Bantus family from around the world. As well as meet other fellow capoeiristas, instructors and mestres attending the meet.
Then it’s off to Bantus KL’s 4th Batizado (1st October to 7th October 2007) (See www.bantus.com.my) as some of us will be heading north over the weekend to add axé to KL’s event before returning home for our 2nd Batizado and Capoeira Festival.
Our workshops from Monday 8th October to Friday 12th October 2007 will be held at UWCSEA from 7.30pm-9.30pm. So no regular classes during this week. Our Batizado is on Sunday 14th October 2007. The location and time will be confirmed at a later date so stay tuned!
