Hey there,
I have been very curious about the martial-art/dance for a while. I recently had a chance to see a performance which got me all the more interested.
What kind of physical fitness would you expect a beginner to have? It seems to involve a lot of up-turns and flexibility. Is there room for someone who would like to use this to get fitter?
Will it be alright to come and just watch a couple of your sessions?
Cheers,
Karthik

Hihi, am keen to pick up capoeira, u happen to have any sat classes? (were you guys the ple who perform outside Borders a few weeks back?) Cheers, von.
hi! very pleased to find this site. i’m looking for an alternative workout n thinking of taking up capoeira. wat are the charges for the classes that u conduct? looking forward to start.
I have a few questions that I hope you can assist:
-Is there an age limit to this sport?
-I had sustained a knee injury 2 years ago, will that be a deterent to pursue capoeira?
-If I am keen to proceed, what is next?
Hear from you soon.
Hi there, I’m a 26-year-old female and like the other people who have left comments, am also interested in taking up the sport.
However, I am not very flexible and do not have very much upper body strength. Is there some basic level of fitness one must have?
Just a suggestion: How about having an FAQ section in your site? I’m sure many newbies have questions like mine!
Thank you!
hello, i’m 16 this year and have envied those who can do back flips, front flips, wall jumps etc. Is Capoeira the class for me? Will i be able to do those after i learn Capoeira? My main martial art is Muay Thai and would like to take Capoeira as my secondary martial art. Is it okay if i come for Capoeira classes casually? When and where should i come? Is it okay if i come for a try out lesson first? Please reply ASAP, thank you!
To all the interested parties who had left their queries, can I suggest you guys chk the website? All fees and class structures are listed there under the FEES link. Alternatively, as Flora have pointed out, just drop by any class to see us training. ALL ARE WELCOME! And it really does not matter for what reason you want to do Capoeira for or your background. You progress as far as your own self-belief.
Bottomline: Just come and see. Or when you see us outside Borders playing, just approach anyone of us to find out more. Dun be shy!
do i need to register for beginner’s class or i can just walk in on thurs to try out the dance?
Just walk in to register. They’ll sort you out. TO ALL ppl out there, if you wanna join, just show up physically at oue lessons (chk classes on the website). Nuff said.
If you are interested in capoeira, come down for a class (check new location under Classes) and see if you still like it after the class. Please read FAQs on the blog.
