We had fun at Sentosa!

Thanks for showing up today. We had fun. Two rodas and in between, plenty of oranges, bak kwa (courtesy of Coruja’s friend who happens to be a famous bak kwa king), mucking around the sand and practising the instruments. The Best Drama Queen Award goes to Soneca. And we have the pictures to prove it. Now we just have to figure out how to post them here!

Festival Bantus 2006

This year is Bantus’ 15th anniversary and students from every Bantus school around the world have been invited to take part in the festival activities in- BRAZIL! See full itinerary here.

For our students who want to go, here’s a very rough ballpark figure of how much it will cost you to get there. (you can start saving now!)

The shortest air routes are currently provided by Qantas.

SINGAPORE-AUCKLAND-SANTIAGO-RIO DE JANEIRO

SINGAPORE-FRANKFURT-MADRID-RIO DE JANEIRO (is shorter)

Air routes will vary depending which air carriers Qantas will buddy up with.

Airfares (until March 2006): S$1998 (lowest class seating) and S$2198 (for the next class up). If you book online with Qantas, it’s S$1890. Once again, all these fares exclude taxes. Taxes go up with the number of stopovers. You need to put aside S$300+ for taxes.

However, if you make reservations with the official GBC tour agency (with Sr Klaus), you will receive a 8% discount on both the Festival package and the tour plus a cheaper flight. See full itinerary here. More info on this later.
